A Prairie Dog's Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's a Christmas tag I created using a Digital image from Colour of Love by Heather Valentin.
The image is from the Cactus Critter Serie.

I got to play with A Prairie Dog's Christmas and coloured it with Promarkers. I have made a tag from 16x8cm out of kraft cardstock. I have added a green snowflake background from the colors of Christmas Vintage Craft Sensations paper block. Underneath the image I adhered a piece of gauze. I added a piece of corrugated  paper from a package of cookies and I used som Christmas images from different luxe Christmas paper blocks by DecoTime. Along the edge of the images and tag I used gesso.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Santa's Eve

Hey!

This week there will be a fun new release at Digi Doodle Studios. Friday there are Card Kits being released. How much fun is that?

I got to play with the kit called "Santa's Eve 321 Card Kit". The image is coloured with Promarkers. I only used 1 of the 3 digital papers that comes with the image and one of the 2 sentiments. I love Santa's in blue so that is why I coloured him with a blue suit. I love how well it goes with the tan snowflakes background. Items used to create this card; kraft square card, snowflake punch, white gems, torn copy paper for the snow under the chimney, sentiment die and distress ink.

Thursday I will show you another card that I made with the card kit so stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Pencil shaped card

Hey!

This month it's Heather Valentin's Eleanor and Pickles' 8th birthday. She has so many gorgeous images to colour in her Colour of Love shop.

Here's a little history about the birth these cute characters.
Late one night in June of 2012, Heather Valentin was on the phone and was drawing and the first imag of Eleanor and Pickles was created - Eleanor and Pickles Book of Spells. The first image of Eleanor by herself was Eleanor Bookworm

Eleanor and Pickles Book of SpellsEleanor Bookworm

Now, 8 years later, Eleanor and Pickles make up a large category of images in the Colour of Love Shop. Eleanor and Pickles along with various other character friends, like Tilly the dinosaur, have had many adventures over the past 8 years and Heather continues to draw new of these delightful characters.

I created a card in the shape of a pencil to go with this gorgeous image called "Eleanor and Pickles Back to School". The image is coloured with Promarkers. To create the card I used the following: kraft card base (cut it into a pencil shape), circle die (to create the tip of the pencil), washi tape (to create the pattern on the pencil), paper measuring tape (free from the hardware store), from the off cuts of the card I created 2 little book embellishments, added two circle paperclips to the side of the card and added distress ink along the side of the card and the little books.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Hugs,
Kitty
