Birthday Candle

Hey!

Here's my take on sketch #140 from i {heart} sketches.

I used a From the Heart Stamps digi called "Birthday Candle" and colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos. Items used to create the card; Kraft card base, scraps of dp, corrugated paper from a package of cookies, thin rope and distress ink for all the edges.

The Cake Hat

Hey!

Here's my second card with one of the images from the New Release "The Hat Collection".

This image is called "The Cake Hat" and I colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos. Only the skin is colored with Promarker, because I like the color combo. Items used to create this card: white linen card base, 2 pieces of design paper, walnut stain distress ink, magnolia cherry border die, happy birthday border die, strawberries die and a piece of gauze.

The Fantasy Hat

Hey!

There is a new awesome release "The Hat Collection" from Stamps by Julia Spiri.

I got to play with "The Fantasy Hat" and colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos. Still getting used to using pencils instead of alcohol markers. I made a card with a few folds. Was a lot of work but I like the end result. Also love to recycle corrugated paper from cookie packages.

Easter Bunny

Hey!

Here's an egg card I made using a discontinued SSD image called "Easter Bunny". Isn't she cute?

The image is colored with Promarkers and I made a card in an egg shape by using an oval die cut and cutting the bottom freehand till it formed an egg shape. I created a little scene with a couple of dies (fence, birdhouse, 2 kinds of grass, bird and a doily) I used walnut stain distress ink along the edges of the die cuts.

Snowman and Cocoa

The image is called "Snowman and Cocoa" by From the Heart Stamps and I colored it with Promarkers. Love this image and a great sketch to go with it. I added glitter snow on the fluffy parts of the hat.

Hey!

Here's a love card using one of the A Touch of Love Collection Magnolia stamps.

The image is called "Miracle Love Tilda" and I've colored her with Promarkers. The card base is red linen cardstock. I found some lovely roses dp in my stash. Items used to create the card: flourish die cuts, roses, pearls, glossy accents (on the little hearts of the image and drops on the roses), wink of Stella (on the wings), doily edge punch, scalloped oval die, walnut stain distress ink, hearts confetti. Love how the card turned out. Always great to use red and pink as a combo.

Spirit of Hibiscus

 Hey!

We are halfway the month so that means a new challenge at CCC Digi Creations. This fortnight the challenge is "Favorite Color Combo" and our sponsor is Aurora Wings.

I got to play with this gorgeous image called "Spirit of Hibiscus". I love Hibiscus flowers and got a few of these plants in my garden and enjoy them every year. Hope they'll bloom this year as good as they did last year. The image is colored with Pormarkers. One of my favorite color combo's is Pink & Green. In the eighties I was a big fan of a Dutch band called Doe Maar and this combo was their color combo too. The band stopped in 1984 and I was to young to go to their concert. Looking forward to go to a concert this year. Have to look for my fan buttons that I still got somewhere.

Well back to my card. I have cut out a circle and folded it in half. Added dp, lace, die cut, roses, pear string, butterflies and a sentiment. Made this card for my mom's birthday as she also loves Hibiscus.

Fashion in Paris

Hey!

Today is a new release from Stamps by Julia Spiri. It's called "The Paris Collection"

I got to play with this gorgeous image called "Fashion in Paris". It's colored with Promarkers (skin and hair) and Faber-Castell pencils (dress). I got the pencils for my birthday and it's the very first time using them. Only need some odorless turpentine the next time.
I made a background with the images that come with this gorgeous lady and only colored the added hearts.
